Today's topic: Day Trip. Where would you like to go on a day trip? You must drive there and back in one day, but you have unlimited funds for gas, food, and activities.
I would like for the hubby, the child, and I to drive to McCall for the McCall Winter Carnival. I just love all the festivities up there during the winter, and the world-class snow/ice sculptures are absolutely amazing! There's nothing like wandering around a small, mountain town with the snow covered lake and mountains in the background. Hopefully this is a trip we can take this winter. It's only a 2 hour drive (depending on weather). I think it would be fun to walk around, checking out all the sculptures, eat some delicious food, drink some hot drinks, taking in the atmosphere in one of the lodges next to a massive fireplace. Possibly do some sledding and then head back home.
