BSU v. Virginia

Well, I have zero constructive criticism of that game whatsoever. It blows my mind that we can drive the field in a minute and four seconds in moments of sheer desperation, but we can't put together play-calling like that for the remainder of the game. WTF. I'm not what you would call an offense coordinator, like, at all, but I sure as hell know they PAY one and he should consider doing something a little different. [insert f-bomb]

Anyway......

Yesterday was Carter's very first BSU game, and he HAD.A.BLAST. Every time I looked up from the sidelines to see if he was smiling, he was dancing and having such a good time. I'm so glad I get to give him these experiences in life (and if you know the story behind that comment, just nod along with me because damn, I'm trying to take the high road on Parenting Lane). Matt and I even trekked up 186 (it fucking felt like it) stairs to the very top row to grab a stadium shot per my shot list. It was a fun game, until it wasn't, but I'm telling you.....win or lose, nothing beats standing on those sidelines to watch the game (even when you are dodging players crashing through the sideline barriers). Best job ever!

Part of the shot list this game was getting a whole new area of tailgating, which took place on the rugby/lacrosse field. Definitely a strict set of rules over here, but not a shabby backdrop!

Pre-game shots of the fam up in their seats. A perk of this job is free tickets, even though they were up in the nose-bleed seats. They actually really liked the seats as there was no one behind them to battle for space, and gave the boys a little more wiggle room.

(I hope your mother sees that, Dana!)

Before every game, during the pre-game ceremonies, I jockey into prime position in the south endzone to ensure I get some good shots. These aren't required for the job, but I love having them! And there is no louder place in that entire stadium to hear the BOISE! STATE! chant. So loud!

Another perk is hanging with Kohl on the sidelines for the whole game. His trainer is a really nice girl, so we get in lots of doggy snuggles in between his on-the-field job runs.

See, even Buster loves Kohl!

 As did ESPN!

Near half time, we ventured up to hang with the fam, and I got a different perspective than my sideline shots.

Me and my little guy! He was chilly but dancing to keep himself warm. Hey, whatever works!

Carter's Birthday Party

This weekend, we got together with friends and family to celebrate Carter's big day. It sure was a great party, and Carter definitely received some awesome gifts. He's feeling the love, that's for sure.
