Time to Brag

So we are a few games into the baseball season for Carter, and I could not be more proud of this kid. He is having a blast (which is so fun to watch) and he's doing really well both on defense and offense. He has hit the ball hard every single at-bat, and even had a legit homerun last game. We need to scale back the chatting when he's out in the field, but that'll come with more experience. For the time being, we are having a great time watching this kid play ball.

At school, we were told yesterday that he is the only first grader in the entire school to make the dream mile team. He ran the mile in 7 minutes, and will be running with all of the older kids towards the end of May, in front of the whole school. His athleticism is really making this mama proud!

Way to go, Carter!

Aaron & Kari {adoption}

When Kari contacted me to do this shoot, I wasn't sure what I was in for. However, she walked me through the process and I really got a feel for what they were wanting from this shoot. They have a meeting coming up with an adoption agency, and typically couples submit an "about us" portfolio, which almost always includes pictures. Kari had very specific shots in mind, and brought along a car full of props and outfits. It was kind of overwhelming at first, but once we got into a groove, it went well.

Andrew {senior}

Andrew and I tip-toed around some nasty weather last weekend, and finally got the chance to grab some senior pictures. It was a short and sweet shoot, as they typically are with senior guys. They just aren't into it like the girls are. ;) I struggled with the glare on his glasses quite a bit. It was an unforgiving time of day, and he's one of those people who wear them all the time. So the option of taking them off for a few shots really wasn't an option because that's just not his normal look.

Game Time!

Last night was Carter's first baseball game. His team has been working hard at each practice, and they really had a fun time tonight. Carter had three good hits, and also several unassisted plays on defense at first base. I was so proud of him!
