Projects

In between my normal job, raising little humans, house projects, and preparing for surgery next week, I'm also cramming in Christmas projects. Because why not? Fortunately, I enjoy Christmas and projects, so it's relatively low on the stress-o-meter. ;)

I noticed last year that my ornament wreath was starting to show some wear and tear from years of in and out of storage, etc. It was painful, but when Christmas came down last year, I tossed that wreath. I immediately went out and bought a foam core, knowing that the project would surface this time of year and it's next to impossible to find a store that isn't sold out of them. As I was putting up the indoor Christmas décor this last weekend, I came upon that foam core and got so excited to do another ornament wreath. I got all new ornaments, and surprisingly didn't stray from the color scheme of the last one, and put together the wreath last night while watching Monday Night Football. There are still a few little places that bother my symmetrical-needing eye, but overall, I'm pleased!

Thanksgiving

Since Dana and Veronica have moved back to town, we had the entire family together for Thanksgiving this year. My Aunt Taunya hosted and it was a full house!

Baby Mason refuses to crawl, so we are just going to make him walk instead!

It's so fun having little (or big) babies in the house again! Definitely lots of little cheeks to kiss and love on.

The two smarty-pants building a tower.

Easton, that's what you get when you wrestle with Papa!

I have been doing my own little tradition of making a full dinner on Black Friday for just the kiddos and me. That way we get all of the yummy leftovers! ;)  It was a day full of cooking and baking, and the dinner was delicious! We played a bunch of games throughout the day and had a really good time.

Kids' Bathroom Makeover

With this project now finished, the entire upstairs is totally done (minus the carpet and trim, which are coming soon). I think this bathroom was the quickest and easiest project on the house to date. Eventually, I will get to the flooring, tile, sink, but had to work within my budget for the time being. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and I'm obviously thrilled to have that ugly powder blue pain gone.

Next up is the family room, which is already in progress. Whew!

The {W} Family

This family was an absolute hoot at their shoot (ha ha). All three of the boys were quite the comedians, so it made the shoot go by quickly. We had to reschedule once due to rain, but when their shoot finally happened, the weather could not have been more beautiful!

How We Feel

Following a 4-week sickness of my own, both of my kids ended up with strep throat, back to back. Needless to say, my house needs to get healthy!!! In the meantime, this is how we feel about it:

Abby {senior}

Abby has lots of sass, so her shoot was a lot of fun. Just enough attitude to be spunky, and we had a blast strolling through downtown.

Halloween!

Kendall decided very early on that she wanted to be a mermaid this year. Carter, as with every single year, changed his mind 682 times and ultimately decided on Boba Fett from Star Wars. I have no clue who this character is as I don't like Star Wars, but hey, it's what he wanted. The kids had two outings last night due to some wonderful, yet not at all surprising, behavior by their father. Bottom line, the kids had a blast and got enough candy for both of their houses.

I also got to go help out with Kendall's kindergarten class party yesterday. They had a super cute parade to show off their costumes, and then we played some fun games and had Halloween treats.
