Merry Christmas!
After sledding yesterday, we made a quick run to the store to grab stuff for dinner. I have never seen to kids eat so quickly - they knew the presents were up next!
Grumpy Cat
The two best buds.
I have also never seen two kids rip through presents as quickly as they did this year. Holy moly! I had to slow them down a couple of times because I swear they didn't even see what was in each box. Crazy kids!
After all of the gifts had been opened, we pulled up the Santa Tracker on the computer to see where Santa was in the world. We tracked him for about an hour, and once he hit the U.S., it was time for bed. Gotta be asleep before Santa stops by! ;)
Santa brought the kids a joint gift this year - they LOVED it! (whew!)
Merry Christmas to all - I hope you have wonderful memories with your loved ones. My kids are off with their dad for the weekend and I'm hopping a plane! See ya!

Christmas, Part 1
We are mixing Christmas up quite a bit this year - in a good way!
Still playing catch-up on some of the pictures, both from the big camera and the new phone camera. When Kendall and I were checking out the lights for the tree, Annie was sure to be involved. She kept swatting at Kendall's hands with the lights, and trying to chew the cords. I thought for sure the cat would chew through the wires and be toast before Christmas actually got here.
Messing around with some settings on the camera.......leads to some interesting shots.
Once the bulk of the presents were wrapped and under the tree, Carter set out to count how many for each person, etc. I swear, I'm going to go to the numbering system my mom did for a few years! Totally threw us all off, and definitely kept us from messing with all of the boxes.
Carter has really turned into a bookwork and I could not be happier about that! I have some time off for the holidays, so I have been doing a lot of my own reading. Yesterday, Carter joined me on the couch and cruised through an entire book. It totally makes my day to chill on the couch with him, books in our hands. (Well, typically a Nook in mine.)
Today, we frosted the remainder of the sugar cookies and took them around to some of the neighbors. Several of us have really banded together recently, and what better way to share the Christmas cheer than a plate of SUGAR!! ;)
Since my mom is still up north waiting on that dang baby, my dad joined the kids and me for an early Christmas celebration. I made a nice dinner and we launched into opening gifts.
Both kids are totally into art stuff......little do they know what Santa has in store for them!
I can tell this is going to be a big BSU Christmas! ;)
Stay tuned - we have lots more Christmas to share!

Introducing......
I wasn't planning to add another member to the family. However, Eric found a super cute cat on craigslist and I just couldn't say no. I've been wanting a ragdoll siamese cat, or something that resembles one. I saw one last December while I was out and about for all of the holiday bazaars and have been in a mission since. This one is 14 weeks old and we picked her up last night. Still haven't decided on a name, but I'm leaning towards Annie. She appears to be part himalayan (without the smooshed (is that a word?!!) face) and shorthair.
She slept like a champ last night....I was prepared for a night of whining due to separation from her family. But she laid at my feet and slept all night. And she did great today while we were at work. I think I'll keep her!
