Summer = BBQ + Slip n' slide + corn hole

There really isn't a better afternoon/early evening than one that consists of good food, drinks, kids laughing and playing on a slip n' slide, and a mean game of corn hole going on. Oh, and good music. Sounds like perfection to me!

Congrats on the board signing, Dad!

All-Star Wrap-Up

What a season!

20-4 (30-4 if you count our undefeated fall season) with the Bulldogs and the 10U All-Stars.  League Champs AND Pacific Northwest Regional 10u Champs.

Couldn't ask for a better group of girls - AND COACHES! Their grit and determination are admirable, their resilience not only in the cold, wet spring, but fighting through the hotter than hot temps, is also commendable. These girls improved so much from day one of the season. They proved they are a force - an amazing group of young ladies and athletes. I can't wait to see their continued progress!

We capped the season with a fun team party. So much laughter! This has been such a great village, and I am so grateful to be surrounded by these dynamite coaches, and the amazing team parents, who I get to call friends.

I know Kendall and I are looking forward to a quiet break....a minute to just slow down and soak up the summer days and evenings.

Pupdate

Get it?

Pup+update = pupdate

Oh boy.....

This dog is going to be the death of me. Or herself.  I haven't yet decided.  Most days, I love her. Other days, I want to hang a "FREE" sign around her neck and send her on her way. I'm not sure I have ever owned a bigger pain-in-the-ass dog.

But she's still here. And I suppose we'll keep her.  Good thing she's cute.

June's Literary Adventures

Another slow reading month - now that softball is winding down for the summer, I anticipate the numbers picking back up.

I am really struggling with the Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson. It is old, recycled, and probably needs to be wrapped up and put away forever.  I was excited to get back to the Jeff Carson David Wolf series. Deadly Conditions was okay for me, but Cold Lake was a great one! I am excited to continue on with this series.

The 4th!

The kids and I decided to head to a Boise Hawks game to celebrate the 4th. They have completely re-vamped their fireworks show, and it was so awesome! Nothing is more "American" than baseball and fireworks!

Cousin Pool Day!

Before Dana moves into his new place, we tried to maximize some pool time. The kids had a great time swimming around, doing various jump & catch competitions, and generally being goofballs.

All-Star Madness Continued - and Regionals!!

The second half of the all-star season was one for the books!  The girls really put together a great season, and were in a really good place heading into Regionals.

Proud is an understatement. This group of young ladies had big goals to start their all-star season, and they completely smashed through the ceiling. They have grown so much, and have totally embraced the advanced skills we have thrown their way. They only dropped two games this summer and came out to Regionals to dominate the Pacific Northwest Regional 10u division. They earned those rings 1000%. I am so completely honored to coach these amazing ladies, and watch them develop lifelong friendships from playing in the dirt.

Also super proud of Kendall for doing her thing.
