Time Out

As some of you may recall, Carter received a hand-made rocking horse last year for his birthday.  It's still pretty big for him, but he still loves it.  My mom's cousin (lives in Georgia), who made the rocking horse, also made a time-out chair for my aunt's girls when they were younger.  Well they are clearly too old for a time-out chair now, and we want to keep the chair in the family.  So it has been passed down to Carter.

As you can see, there is a clock on the front to track the length of the time-out.
There is also a drawer to keep toys and/or books.  Since time-outs are not fun time or play time, this drawer will remain empty.

And on the back, there is the timer to set the clock.  A wonderful idea if you ask me!!  When the timer goes off, time-out is complete.
And yes, I have seen time-out chairs in the stores out there, but this is a one of a kind, hand-made by family and we are the only ones who have it.  So neener.  ;)
I'm sure it will get more than it's share of use!!

What a beautifully handcrafted chair! I have seen them in the stores also...even considered buying one at one time...but they are so small. Not like this one that can be used for several age groups.

You are so lucky to have a handcrafted original. Although I do not appreciate you rubbing it in our faces! LMAO

Wait....so one of a kind? I guess that means we can't copy you and run out and get one???

Darn it!

LOL! That is probably the only time he'll be smiling while sitting in it! Love the chair!

That is beautiful! And it would probably make a really cool photo prop too!! (Sorry... I pretty much look at everything anymore and wonder if it would make a neat prop...LOL)
