I decided a while ago that I really needed to take Carter on a "mom and me" trip. It seemed appropriate that we see some baseball games on this trip, so I started to put together some ideas and came up with Seattle. Obviously we would see the Red Sox. So earlier this week, we boarded a plane and headed to Seattle for a quick trip.
As soon as we landed, we dumped our luggage at the hotel and hit the pavement!
The hotel was just a couple blocks from Pike Market, so that was our first stop. It was so busy and Carter had a great time watching everything happening around him.
The best bakery there is! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!
After we scouted out Pike Market, we made our way down to the piers and the aquarium.
The octopus was definitely the best part. We were there for one of the attempted feedings, and she did NOT disappoint.
Jellies!
I seriously wanted to put this little guy in our backpack and take him home for some snuggles.
After the aquarium, we wandered the piers for a little bit until it was time to head to the field for game #1.
We walked by a lady doing face paintings, so naturally we asked if she could do something Red Sox related. She said "I've been doing them alllll day, there are a lot of you guys here!"
Once we got to the field, Carter was blown away by how huge the stadium was. We walked around for a little bit and then made our way to our seats. It was game time!!
It was a great game and Red Sox pulled off the win.
We hitched a ride in a taxi back to the hotel because we sure weren't walking all that way back up those serious hills. I think we were asleep before our heads even hit the pillow.
Stay tuned for day two!
