Oregon Coast - Day 1

What a trip we had at the Oregon Coast! Five days of many different excursions - mostly fun, a few bumps here and there, but overall, a BLAST!

We headed out bright and early Sunday morning. We figured the kiddos would sleep the first chunk of the drive.....boy were we wrong!

We stopped at Horsetail Falls for a quick rest on the way.

Once we got to our beach house, we quickly unloaded everything and hit the beach!

We had fairly good weather the first day, just a little bit of a breeze down at the ocean, which was a very short walk across the street from the house.

Their first time at the ocean! I should have taken a video - their reactions were priceless.

COLD water!!!!

The three kids immediately set in with building some masterpieces, and quickly learned not to build so close to the waves. ;)

After a couple hours at the beach, we packed it in and went straight to Mo's for dinner. After dinner, we ran into some trouble - or Kendall did, with her forehead straight into the corner of a concrete fountain. To the ER we went. No better way to start out a vacay than at a local hospital!  :(

They ended up doing Derma Bond, versus stitches, and hopefully there is minimal scarring. Definitely not where we planned to be on the first night.

Stay tuned for more!
