Project Shutter Speed

So yesterday, I had two projects to accomplish. Fortunately, I was able to knock them both out at the same location. One is for my grandmother for Christmas, so I will be posting it at a later date. The second one was to adjust my shutter speed to capture some pretty, moving water. The first picture, below, is on auto setting. See how the water is chunky? I wanted to achieve a smooth water look.
So I adjusted the shutter speed clear back to 0"3 (which might have been a little too much), and the water looks smooth.
These were taken in the Quail Ridge Subdivision in Boise.

was this hand-held or did you use a tripod? i think you did a great job either way! its hard to do without blowing out the highlights if its bright out. this looks great!

Marchelle - I forgot to take my tripod with me, so this was hand-held.
