Italy Adventure - Part 5

Day 6 was our day-trip to the gorgeous island of Capri. I am totally an island girl - I love the pace, the people, the food, and obviously the views!  We met bright and early with our tour company and headed out on the three hour bus ride to Naples.

Our bus lot was right at this castle in Naples - so cool!

Once we got off the bus and had a little break, we boarded a boat that would take us to Capri.

Arriving in Capri:

Once we got to Capri, we had several different options for excursions. We opted to go to the very top of Capri via bus and then take a chairlift to the top of a mountain. The bus ride up, via Mama Mia Road, was intense. It was a very narrow road and I'm certain the driver was insane. But it made for some good laughs. We also met another American couple and spent the entire day with them. It was such a great time!

Up we go!

Most of Capri is covered in lush gardens.

Not a bad view on the entire island.

Once we got to the top of the mountain, we got off the chairlift and had a little bit of time to wander around. Many of the views were straight down cliff faces, and it was gorgeous!

Back down for lunch!

And on the bus ride back down Mama Mia Road, which was even more insane.

After lunch, we had two options for another excursion. We opted to just relax at the beach with our new friends to people watch. Never a dull moment at this beach!

After a couple hours at the beach, we boarded the bus and headed back to Rome. It was a peaceful ride.

Once we got back, we hit various shops on the walk back to the apartment. Stuff was so cheap there, so I definitely loaded up on fun stuff for myself and the kids.
