She pours her sweat and tears into this, and she has really catapulted it this season. She owned Western!

Indy - Happy 1st Birthday!

I'm catching up on some posts. August 16th was Indy's first birthday. She's 100% a goober of a dog, and we are trying to train the heck out of her. I know she's a crazy-smart breed, and I see it in her most of the time. But then there is this other percentage of the time where she's just the dog from hell. Hoping someday it all evens out!

Nightly Routines

 I spent quite a few months re-doing Kendall's entire bedroom. Did it need to take months? Absolutely not. But it took what it took because there's a whole lot of LIFE going on. During that time stretch, she was camped out in my room. We got into a really good groove of spending our evenings before bed reading together. This is always MY nightly routine, and I completely roped her into it.

Addie definitely raked in the ribbons at Canyon County Fair this year!  It has been her goal for quite some time to beat Tyce (Fisher - the family from whom Addie gets most of her lambs, supplies, etc) and she finally did it! She worked her butt off this year, and it was so great to see that come to fruition at this fair. Next up, Western!

July's Literary Adventures

 

July had some great reads! Minus The Island. That was a hot mess and I 100% gave up on that book about a quarter of the way through it. The Red Book and Escape are books two and three, respectively, in the Billy Harney series by James Patterson. I am always hesitant to start a new series by him because I feel like he has completely exhausted The Women's Murder Club series. We'll see if he can keep this one fresh. The Lies I Tell was a great, fast-paced read - Julie Clark is definitely a great author.
