The One Where Carter Graduates High School

Oh boy, this day was a doozy for mom. I was weepy all throughout the day...barely held it together! But the pride I have in Carter and his accomplishments, the responsible young man he has grown to be, and his plans for his future...that's the overwhelming emotion. I know high school wasn't the most amazing experience for him, but I hope that some day, he will look back at this time in his life with fond memories.

Thankfully, he agreed to let me take him out for some cap and gown pictures.

We had to grab our own family photos a day early as Randy traveled to Texas to see Piper graduate - on the same day. Boo, but we did what we had to do.

Big congrats to you, Carter. You have no idea how proud of you we are. Keep up that solid work ethic, kiddo...it'll take you to wonderful places.

Another Last...

...their last day of school together. It's a tough road, motherhood. There are all these books and things to guide you in raising them...but nothing really teaches you how to let them go.

Mother's Day Celebration

We continued our tradition of getting together on Mother's Day for an amazing brunch cooked by Randy. The food was so good, as usual. It was a really nice day, so we spent some time in the back yard BS'ing and playing some cornhole.
