Thanksgiving Break

Randy's girls flew in for Thanksgiving this year, so we had a busy week trying to make the most of their time here.  We had an early birthday celebration for Piper - she turns 18 on Dec 7th - so that everyone could get together to celebrate her.  Randy took all the girls thrifting for hours one day - what a brave soul!  They all survived and found some great treasures.  We also went to dinner and then to see Zootopia 2 down in BODO.  What a great movie!  Then the usual family dinners for Thanksgiving.  And to top it all off, Dana and the boys got a puppy!  He was definitely the star of the show - what a cutie!

Turkey Day

Co-parenting and blended families make for a busy holiday!  I think we got around to see everyone that needed to be seen, some visits shorter than others.  It was a great, long weekend with shopping, football, more football, movies, and a double dose of Thanksgiving dinner - one at my parents' house and one at my house that I always do just for us. Surprisingly didn't take many pictures!

This Thanksgiving was definitely a break from the norm. Part of our family was off for a month in Mexico, so the orphaned children had to scavenge the streets for scraps of food.

All kidding aside, we really did have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We weren't totally unsupervised, as Veronica's dad (and his lady friend) joined us for the holiday. We had a crazy amount of food (and beer/mimosas), football, desserts, and other shenanigans. It was a great day!

Since Dana and Veronica have moved back to town, we had the entire family together for Thanksgiving this year. My Aunt Taunya hosted and it was a full house!

 

 

Baby Mason refuses to crawl, so we are just going to make him walk instead!

 

 

 

 

It's so fun having little (or big) babies in the house again! Definitely lots of little cheeks to kiss and love on.

I have been doing my own little tradition of making a full dinner on Black Friday for just the kiddos and me. That way we get all of the yummy leftovers! ;)  It was a day full of cooking and baking, and the dinner was delicious! We played a bunch of games throughout the day and had a really good time.
