Last Day of School

Well, here we are, at the end of another school year. Time sure is a thief! Both kids did really well this school year - lots of growth for them personally and academically. Kendall will be going into high school and Carter will be going into his senior year!

Kendall's first day of middle school and last day of middle school.

Both kids:  first day of school this year, and last day of school.

Carter's first day of school this year, and last day.

Last Day of School

These two kiddos rocked their first year of middle school and high school.  So very proud of them for their growth and hard work!

First Day of School!

Uh, summer? Where did you go? Somehow we are at the beginning of another school year.....the last year for both kids in their respective schools. 8th grade for Carter and 5th grade for Kendall. Hopefully this school year has a lot less interruption than last year.

Last Day of School!

This school year has been a complete roller coaster. No other description needed. I'm sure glad it's over with, and I know the kids would agree. Here's to hoping next school year looks much different....and better!  I am super proud of all three, however. Their resilience in the midst of constant change, coupled with their good grades, sure makes us proud!

First Day of School - COVID version

To say the beginning of this school year has been a hot mess would be a gross understatement. I'm not sure WTF the school district/administration has been doing all summer, but this was somehow the "best" they could come up with for our kids. While we have worked through the technological bugs, this "part time" learning (seriously) is NOT what I would call the full education to which our kids are entitled. However, we are doing the best we can, and supplementing the missing learning in other ways.

First Day of School

This school year was a big adjustment for the kiddos!  Carter is officially in middle school (say what?!!!) and Kendall is now on her own at elementary school. No more big brother to get her to/from the bus stop. And even Addie is riding the bus to/from school now.

Carter and I attended his orientation and got the official lay of the land. We went back several times so he could work on his locker, get a feel for where his classrooms are, and work on his route to ride his bike to school. He has done such an awesome job with his added responsibilities. I'm proud of him!

While Kendall didn't her preferred teacher for third grade, she still got an awesome one and I know she's going to have a great year.

These kids are going to rock 6th, 4th, and 3rd grades this year!
