Sweethearts Dance
It's no secret that Kendall is boy-crazy. It's been the challenge of my life thus far, but I am fairly sure we are all going to survive it. There's been this boy who she has been talking to for a little while now. He asked her to go to the Sweethearts Dance, so we had a fun time shopping for dresses for her. The dance was clear out in Star, so it was an exercise in handing over some responsibility and letting them have some fun. They are both super shy together (shy is never a word I would use to describe Kendall), so I think they got some dancing in. Sounds like they had a fun night together.

Homecoming 2025!
Carter decided quite some time ago that school dances are just not his thing. Kendall, however, is a social butterfly on steroids, so going to a dance was a no-brainer! She went with a group of friends and rated the whole night a 10/10. I see lots of dances in our future.

First Day of School
First day of school this year was a doozy for mom.
Kendall's first day of high school.
Carter's LAST first day of high school.
Just give me a moment over here...

The Baby
Well, she's officially a high-schooler now. We took her to freshman orientation and got the lay of the land for her classes. Buckle up...here we go!

The Beginning of the End
Well, here we are at Carter's senior year of high school.....ready or not. It's going to be a whole bunch of "lasts" this year, and I am not sure how to wrap my mind around it. One of the cool things his school does for the seniors is allow them to purchase their own parking spot for the year, and to paint it with an approved design. Carter opted to go with the Thin Blue Line flag, and it was a tricky little design considering the parking spots are off-kilter. But we got it done and he's pretty happy with the final outcome.
I am still not sure how we went from diapers and bottles to his senior year...buckle up! To me, he'll always be the little boy whose tongue is out when he's concentrating (see if you can spot it in the pics).
