Happy 1-5

Happy 1-5 to this wild child of mine! She is such an incredible human - still just all light and rainbows and sparkles. There's hardly ever a moment where she isn't full of joy with a smile on her face. I hope it's an incredible year, kiddo!

Carter's Senior Pictures

Carter and I got his senior photos over the span of three different shoots. The first one was up at Boiling Springs last fall. The second was back in the Boise Foothills.  The third was downtown Boise on a quiet Sunday morning. He really was a good sport about it. Let me tell ya, boy senior shoots are so completely different than girls! But we had a good time with all three and I'm glad he let me do this part for his senior year. So unbelievably proud of this young man.

Easter Weekend

Now that the kids are older, we really don't do a ton for Easter anymore. They did find some eggs in the front yard (though I do have to say, the softball fundraiser I did (second year in a row) was really underwhelming with what they put inside the eggs).  We spent quite a bit of time outside as well as just generally being lazy.

The One Where Indy Ran a Lot & Banks Pooped a Lot

Never a freaking dull moment. This church up the road from our house has a massive grassy lot behind it, and it's a perfect place to take the dogs to run/play. Banks' back legs have been giving out on him quite a bit lately, so we have been giving him some joint support meds. We were nervous as to how he was going to do, but once we started those meds, he seems to be getting around quite a bit better. You can still definitely see the old man hobble, but he sure loves getting out to explore.

The One With Enchiladas

We had Addie over for dinner and of course, the meal request was my cheesy chicken enchiladas...everyone's favorite!  It was delicious, and we had such a good time visiting with Addie.

A Pup Meet 'n Greet

We figured it was time for Mav to meet Banks and Indy...though we were nervous as to how it would go. With Banks being a perpetual humper of any male dog (we listen, we don't judge) and Indy being somewhat of an aggressive player, we just weren't sure what to expect. Banks did hump - never one to let us down - and Indy and Mav ran and played the entire time. It was a hoot watching them (not so much the humping part)!

Sweethearts Dance

It's no secret that Kendall is boy-crazy. It's been the challenge of my life thus far, but I am fairly sure we are all going to survive it. There's been this boy who she has been talking to for a little while now. He asked her to go to the Sweethearts Dance, so we had a fun time shopping for dresses for her. The dance was clear out in Star, so it was an exercise in handing over some responsibility and letting them have some fun. They are both super shy together (shy is never a word I would use to describe Kendall), so I think they got some dancing in. Sounds like they had a fun night together.

Happy 4 Years

 Today is Indy's 4-Year Rescue-versary.  For the longest time, I just wasn't sure this was going to work out...but something clicked for her last fall and we have been smooth sailing since. Now, she's just the bestest girl!

In Her Wild Habitat

 If you ask Kendall one of her favorite things to do, thrifting is sure to be near the top of the list.  She always finds the best stuff, and shopping with her is a hoot!
