Happy 2nd!

Happy 2nd anniversary to us! We headed to the mountains again to celebrate - this time, putting in 500 miles to explore Wallowa Lake, Joseph, OR, and then looping up/over/through to a staggering Hells Canyon overlook. It was a beautiful mountain drive. The temps were in the low 70s, so we cruised around, windows down, to a mix of Stick Figure, Locomesa, and 90s country. Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Year 2 (or 30, depending on how you look at it) was an amazing year for us. Here's to forever more!

The Mountains Are Calling...

Another Lowman camping adventure in the books! When the girls were talking to Randy about what we were doing during their visit, they specifically asked if we were going camping. Got them hooked!  We had a major storm system move through early evening on Friday, which apparently caused quite a bit of blowouts near Grand Jean (and presumably further towards Stanley). The river was like chocolate milk the remainder of the weekend, which really put a damper on swimming! We ended up finding a place up Eight Mile Creek Trail that worked out great - while we have been by the spot a thousand times, we have never really utilized the creek for swimming/hanging. Oddly, the creek was clear as can be - despite what the main river looked like - so we set up shop for a few hours. It turned out to be a great little spot for us!
