I'm not going to lie, we desperately needed some camping time. It had been a couple of really busy weeks, and it was time for TIME to slow down....meaning, river time. Randy's girls aren't big campers, so we were a little nervous that they would be bored out of their minds....which proved to be completely false. They had such a great time and spent virtually every waking moment in the river. I had developed a sinus infection and ear infection right as we were packing to leave town, so I made quick work of acquiring some antibiotics...I'd much rather be miserable/sick in the mountains. While that component wasn't the best, it was still wonderful to get up to the mountains and spend time with the family. We also took the girls into Stanley one morning - what the hell has happened to that little town? It was packed! Not sure if there was some festival going on up there or what...even Redfish was horribly overcrowded. Another little mountain town, totally ruined.
