February Literary Adventures

February was another great month for books!  I started off with My Darling Husband, which was a fast-paced domestic thriller.  Anything by Brene Brown is going to be a deep dive, and this proved true with my eight pages of notes that came from that book. Isabella Maldonado is quickly becoming a new favorite author of mine with her FBI series. James Patterson is back with his latest Alex Cross book, which was excellent! I really liked how he branched out of the usual DC area and hit Mexico and Montana in this book. Family Money was a Prime free read for me. These have really been hit or miss, and this one did not disappoint. Another fast-paced thriller with lots of twists. Diablo Mesa was another great read, though a bit into the sci-fi arena (this one centered around Roswell), which always makes me a little nervous. I finished up the month with the latest in the Rockton series. I have been hearing that this is the last book in the series, which would be a bummer for sure. I adore the Rockton books, and really wish they would turn this into a TV show. Plenty of depth. She really tidied things up at the end, which makes me think maybe the series is done.
