Kendall's 2nd Birthday

Sunday was Kendall's second birthday. We had a party over at a nearby park and the weather ended up being a little more chilly than I would have preferred. Regardless, we had a good time and Kendall was really into the presents - especially when it was shoes. The girl is OBSESSED with shoes. I am already considering an intervention to get her under control. Anyway - we got our families together to celebrate at the park, and then we had more present opening at home. I can't believe she is two already! We had her two year check-up with her pediatrician this week and she is right on track, attitude and all. Like there was any doubt about THAT. ;)

{K} senior photos

I met up with this senior and her mom a week ago to get some last-minute senior photos. It was one of my favorite shoots and I found two new locations to use. Here are quite a few samples from her shoot - simply because I couldn't narrow down my favorites!

I dare you

You know what I am growing tired of? People who call women "feminists" like it's a bad thing. Wouldn't it be nice if women were just afforded all of the luxuries of....oh, say....a MAN? To just exist and be everything that they are (excuse me while I laugh), never being challenged, making the higher wage, getting the better job, sitting on their asses at home drinking beer and smacking their woman's ass. Gosh....what a life!

Newsflash little boys.....we're coming for you.

Second, I figured a man would be proud to have a strong woman.  We aren't back in the day of meek, subservient women, when we were "fragile" little beings who needed a strong man to support us. No thanks.

I am proud to be a feminist. I can do this all on my own. I don't need a man to give me a house or a happy family. I don't need his paycheck or his damn last name. Call me a "feminist bitch" if you must. Your fear is showing, honey. But if you insist on calling me anything, come look me in the eyes and say it.

I dare you.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kendall!

Today, at 12:38 p.m., my baby will be two years old. What a girl she has turned out to be - Miss Personality, for sure! She is smart, funny, stubborn, gorgeous, stubborn, stubborn, and stubborn. Did I mention stubborn? But I wouldn't change one thing about her. She has developed so much over the last year, it's incredible. Her vocabulary is just blowing up with each passing day. One of my favorite things is how she rocks out in the back seat when we are driving around. She LOVES music and dancing. We are having a party for her later today at the park - I can't wait! Happy Birthday, sweet girl.
