Oregon Coast: Day 4

Day 4 at the Oregon Coast didn't really consist of much other than driving home. But we made a couple stops on the drive home - Multnomah Falls and Bonneville Dam. Both were pretty cool. I have decided that all of the pictures of Multnomah Falls (at least the professional ones) are not possible. I tried to recreate a picture that my parents have hanging in their living room and it just can't happen. There is no physically possible way to pull off the shot, unless you climb one of the trees. And maybe that's what people did. But the day we were there, it was pouring rain and there were hundreds of people. It was very hard to compose a decent shot - but here is what I got.

Then we made our way over to Bonneville Dam, and learned about the tons of fish they have there. We weren't allowed to actually go up on the dam....which was really disappointing.

This sturgeon was massive....over 10 feet long and 70+ years old. I guess they can live to be up to 150 years old.

They had a bunch of salmon and steelhead in together, and they were jumping like crazy!

And that's the end of our vacation. It was a short trip and we packed a lot in to the time we had. It was really a great time and I can't wait for next year's family trip!

Fun! Sturgeon is one of the best fish I have ever eaten, it tastes and has the same texture as chicken! Mmmm
