Mason Turns 1!!!

We celebrated the man-child's FIRST birthday with some gifts and his very own, giant cupcake. He didn't hesitate even a millisecond before diving into that sweet treat! Happy Birthday, sweet boy! I swear, as soon as these post-op healing restrictions are over, we are totally having a cuddle session!

Every man's reaction to seeing beer!

Don't we wish all men looked at us the way Mason was looking at his cupcake?????

Mom, put the cupcake down on my tray and no one will get hurt!  ;)

Santa!

As soon as school let out for Christmas break, we made a bee-line over to Santa. It was FRIGID, as it has been for quite some time in Boise, but thankfully, The Village had portable heaters set up at the line to Santa's Workshop. The kids had their list ready to go, and Kendall, again, had 87 questions to ask Santa. It was quite a hoot watching him keep up with her interrogation!

Easton Turns 4!

My nephew, Easton, turned the big F-O-U-R this week so we got together for a small family celebration. His big party is this weekend and I'm sure he'll have a blast!!  While Veronica were in the middle of the stocking holder project, we heard quite the commotion out in front of her house. We looked out the window and there were quite a few first responders over at her neighbor's house. We waited until they were done, and then sent Easton out to investigate. As soon as he saw the firemen, he said "It's my birthday, can you take me for a ride?!" Unfortunately, they weren't able to take him for a ride, but they did several fist bumps with him and also gave him a fireman hat.

Then he went over to talk to the police officers, where he got a card and a sticker, and more fist bumps. It sure made his day!!

After my kids got out of school, we all gathered back up at Dana and Veronica's for a birthday dinner, and then decorated gingerbread houses.  It was a great evening.

Christmas Pinterest Project - Stocking Holder

Since I'm off work for several weeks due to surgery, I have lots of projects I want to get done. The family room in my house is a work in progress, and we are coming along nicely. We should be painting soon!  I also found a really cute stocking holder on Pinterest that I really wanted to make. I got all the supplies at Lowe's, my dad cut down the wood, and then I hauled everything over to Dana and Veronica's house so we could get to work making this thing come to life. It was really fun and I love how it turned out!

9 Drinks and 2 Shots Later

......because that's how every good story starts!  ;)

Friday evening was my firm's holiday party. Since they cut out most of the fun alcohol at the actual party, it was a requirement to have both a pre-party AND an after-party, both of which had an excellent group of people. And the end of the night definitely left all of us calling for a ride home. That greasy cheeseburger and fries Saturday though......mmmmmmm.
