2-1 so far this season. Carter has decided he really likes pitching, so it's time to put in some serious work as far as mechanics......as you can see from his foot placement on that rubber. ;)

The Last...
I was getting Kendall ready for preschool this morning and she opted for a dress, which really isn't like her, but I rolled with it. We put a pretty braid in her hair, and she picked out her shoes. Today is the last preschool picture day she will have. The next school picture will be kindergarten this fall. What the heck?! She was born last week and suddenly we are registering for kindergarten? This is not fair!!

The {P} Family
This shoot was very much a hybrid of several different styles. While the focus was on senior pictures, we mixed in some family shots as well. This is my second time shooting with this family and we had a great time!

Those Goofy Kids
Since Dana and Veronica were in town for a very short visit, we made the most of it and spent the majority of the weekend at my parents' house. The camera actually wasn't out a whole lot.....honestly, about three minutes, haha! Totally slacked this weekend.
Mason just chilling out.
Kendall is quite the baby whisperer lately - she just loves them!
Goofy kids.....the entire time!!

Happy Retirement, Dad!
Last night closed the chapter titled "Work Life" for my dad. After 40 years (!!!) at his job, the time came to hang up the hat and embrace a new chapter in life. So many people came out to recognize my dad - what a great party!
We even threw in a little surprise for him.....Dana, Veronica, and the kiddos made a last-minute drive down from Northern Idaho to join the celebration!
Scott, the owner, gave a wonderful speech about my Dad, and presented him with many goodies to carry him into retirement life.
A beer holster!
A beer mug with a bell to ring when the cup is getting a little empty. ;) And a tropical shirt to take on the big trip to Puerto Rico!
Beer goggles?
What got the biggest laugh was being presented with a new cell phone......you can tell by the way my dad is holding it that he was THRILLED with this gift! ;)
My dad also gave a moving speech....not a dry eye in the house!
And the kiddos had a blast running around and exploring.
Such a fun night. Dad, I'm so excited to see what this next phase in life brings for you. I know for sure there will be many, many adventures......abroad and at home. Can't wait!

Play Ball!
On the way to Carter's first game last night, I thought to myself, "shoot, I forgot my camera." And then followed that thought with, "well, it's ok because there are lots of games and I'll just get pictures next game." Totally ok with the fact that there would only be phone pictures.
And then Carter says "oh, and the coach told me I'm pitching tonight."
WHAT?!!!!
And now I don't even have my camera on hand for this?!
I knew it would be a tall order to get pictures and be the official scorebook, but dang it MY KID IS PITCHING.
He did so great! Started off a little rocky....hitting the very first batter.....but then came back solid with five strike-outs in two innings (the pitching limit at this age). I could not have been more proud of this kid!
Now that we know he has some serious interest in pitching, it's time to work on mechanics!
