Project 2011: Through His Eyes, Part 20

Here are last week's pictures by Sir Carter:

We have been outside a lot with the nicer weather - his only restriction:  don't take pictures of dog poop.  ;)

We usually don't put any fencing around our garden; however, the dog has proven that she won't stay out otherwise. So this year, some fencing went up.

Cheeks

Carter has many nicknames......they all make sense to me.  However, he doesn't fully grasp the concept of nicknames yet.  When I call him "buddy" he tells me "Buddy is a dog at Grandma Dort's house".  So I try to explain that it's just a nickname I use for him, along with the countless others.  And other times, he will say "my name isn't honey, it's Carter".....clearly I'm aware of this.  ;)  But that boy just needs to tell you your business!

Kendall is now a month old, and the first nickname for her that came out of my mouth recently was "Cheeks" because she's certainly gaining a good amount of weight!  I thought this picture perfectly displayed her cute (not-so-little) cheeks.

It's That Time, Again

Wedding season is upon us once again.  And for photographers, that means the BUSY season.  My busy season started yesterday (a tad delayed this year due to Ms. Kendall's arrival).  I shot Teresa and Dave's engagement pictures a while back, and yesterday was their big day.  It was the second wedding for them both, so it was very low key, and intimate.  Just the kind of ceremony I needed to get myself back into the groove of shooting weddings.  (I think even my doctor would approve, since I'm still weeks away from being released for all activities.)  Stay tuned for the usual sharing of the wedding photos in a few days!  In the meantime, here's one little sneak......SOOTC.  Editing will have to wait - I have a softball tourney to go watch today!

Movie Review: No Strings Attached

This was a great romantic comedy.  I absolutely love Ashton Kutcher.  Love him.  And Natalie Portman is such a great little actress.  I laughed out loud so many times during this movie.  And sure, it's your typical, totally predictable romantic comedy.....but it was still a good movie!

Just Hanging Around

This week has been pretty relaxed for us.  We're all still trying to figure out how to live with this new baby in our lives.  Kendall is 4 weeks old today!  Things are starting to come together.  I actually ventured out with both kids the other day to run a bunch of errands.  And we survived!  The other evening was actually the first day I didn't feel sore at all, so we took a great walk (Carter on his bike, Kendall in her stroller).  It felt good to get even that small amount of exercise!

Here are some random pictures from this week.....just us, hanging around the house.

Clone

Yes, we have created another blonde haired, blue eyed child.  Who looks virtually the same as her brother when he was a baby.  Her mouth is a little different.  And I do see more of myself in her than I ever saw in Carter.  We attempted a mini shoot today.  I actually had both kids ready to go, but Carter was not having it and Kendall was hungry.  So this was after she ate, and since Carter was still grumpy, he sat this one out.

But here is Kendall....full belly and happy.

She probably just pooped.

Or, there's this version, if you prefer the B&W
