I swear, spending money on toys is worthless when your child is more than happy playing with plastic spoons. Here is Carter marching to the beat of his own drummer......well, he IS the drummer.

Home Stretch
There are really just a few things that Eric and I need to take care of before the wedding and honeymoon. Today, we are going to turn in our applications and take pictures for our passports. FINALLY.

This is one thing that I kept putting off, and we just can't anymore. The processing time isn't stellar, but I believe we still have plenty of time if we get everything submitted today. Next up: purchasing the plane tickets to Tampa! I was on fare watch through Travelocity, which has kept me fairly apprised of the ups and downs of fares to Tampa. However, for shits and giggles, I went to Southwest today. Apparently they don't associate with Travelocity AND I didn't know Southwest even flew to Tampa. And I can get our flights through Southwest for about $100 per person cheaper. So, that's clearly the route we will be going when it's time to book flights - which will be within a month.

Blast from the Past....Part 3
Once again, we revisit the past, and the days of the four musketeers. Here are some pictures.
This one was taken at Deadwood. My cousin, Brian, was lethal on that little Hot Wheel machine! He would come zooming down the road at 487 miles per hour, and never wipe out! He had that thing down to an art.

Random Fact #25
I do not believe in organized religion, or any god, for that matter.
Agnostic atheism—the view of those who do not know
of the existence or nonexistence of God or
gods, and do not believe in them.
I just don't. I'm a proof person and I have never seen proof. I will not go into my true beliefs about religion or gods because I know it will highly offend people. And that's not what I seek to do here; nor do I wish to spark a debate. Just stating another random fact! That's me. I fear the day when I have to explain to Carter my beliefs when he asks me about god and all that stuff. I don't want to push my beliefs on him, but I know others are going to. And that really peeves me. I don't want religion pushed upon my child. I want him to discover for himself what he wants to believe in.

Playing in the Rain
We have been taking Carter to my family's softball games. My brother and two cousins, Matt and Brian, play on a men's fastpitch softball team. They have been doing this for a couple years now and finally have the hang of it. Their team is really good and it's a lot of fun to watch. So, we have introduced Carter to live sporting events. Guess he better get used to it!! It rained a little bit on us tonight - not enough to send everyone home, though!
Here is Carter with my Dad.
My mom and I met with the florist on Saturday to go over what we are wanting for flowers. Here's a basic idea of what we came up with.
The two pictures below are basically what we are going for with my bouquet. We will have the ivory, mini cala lilies, with a blue flower accent, and the lily of the valley (the beady looking things). We will cut off the green leaves on the lily of the valley - I don't want green in the bouquet.

This is as close as I can get to showing what the bridesmaids' bouquets will look like. I think the florist said she will use six of the regular size cala lilies. And then we will wrap blue ribbon all the way down the stems. It should look really, really pretty against their dresses. I'm pleased.
The picture below is close to what we are going to do for the boutineers. Basically, everything is based on the cala lilies. The mothers' and grandmothers' coursages will be similar, with lilies and possibly some blue accents as well. Eric's boutineer will have blue accents. The groomsmen, usher and fathers' boutineers will just be the one cala lily, with no blue accent.
