Hair

I think I finally found the hairstyle that I am wanting for the wedding. It's simple, yet pretty, and I think it fits me and our style of wedding. I'm going to continue growing my hair out, and will be going back to blonde here soon. Yay! Eric isn't thrilled with is, but it's my hair, and I just prefer being blonde.

Random Fact #11

I hate raw meat.


Don't get me wrong, I love COOKED meat. I love steak like no other, ham, pork tenderloin, chicken any way I can get it, meatballs, juicy hamburgers.........the list goes on. But I can't handle raw meat. I hate touching it while I'm preparing a meal. In fact, I will use any utensil imaginable to avoid touching raw meat. I LOVE swedish meatballs....but there is no way I am sticking my hands into the bowl and mashing up the raw hamburger. Blech blech blech.

I love my meat cooked and dead. Slightly juicy, slightly pink, but no blood please.

Random Fact #10

I love swimming.

I love being in the water. Not COLD water though. Which is why I don't often get into the river. I prefer a luke warm/warm water......lakes are ok, pools are great, oceans are even better. I used to swim laps in hotel swimming pools when we were younger and on vacation. I just love being in the water. And being in the water pregnant was even better! Took off all that weight! I can't wait for our honeymoon - hopefully many, many hours will be spent in the pool on the ship and in the oceans at Grand Cayman and Mexico.

Random Fact #9

I get motion sickness...............BAD.

I know a lot of people don't believe in the theory of motion sickness. They think it's a weakness or all in the person's head. Go ahead and ask my family how they feel about that theory. Because I'm here to tell you that motion sickness is a very real thing - and no, it's not all in your head.

When I'm in a car, I have to either be driving or have a clear view of the road. Especially on a windy road. If I can't see the road and the turns ahead, I can guarantee you, I will barf. My nickname growing up was "the hurl girl". My uncle once made the mistake of not believing me when I told him that he better pull over because I was feeling sick. We were on a family trip up to Coeur d' Alene, ID and even though the road up there is highway, it's windy. And my cousin, Matt, and I were riding with my aunt and uncle, in the backseat of their little Nissan car. Matt and I devoured an entire bag of Cheetos and were goofing around. Well, suddenly my stomach wasn't too happy with me and I told my uncle Rod that he needed to pull over. "Jenny", he said, "you are fine, it's all in your head." So I got quiet and tried to talk myself out of getting sick. I again warned him that he needed to pull over because I really was going to get sick. Again, he told me that I was going to be fine. Well, that bag of Cheetos came back up - all over the inside of their car, and I somehow managed to get the window open and continued throwing up as we were flying down the highway. My dad was following behind us, and his truck got splattered with bright orange junk! Needless to say, my uncle Rod never doubted me or even hesitated again when I told him I wasn't feeling well. To this day, I'm not allowed to eat Cheetos on a road trip!

And I get sick when flying too. I have become accustomed to taking Dramamine or those little patches you can put behind your ear and I do really well with those.

I know a lot of studies point to inner ear problems being directly associated with motion sickness. And I often wonder, since I was the ear infection baby, if that has something to do with my motion sickness today.

Wedding Prep

My mom came over today so we could dye more of the flowers that will be used for the centerpieces. I only ended up having about half of the total flowers that I needed, so we'll be heading back to Michael's to pick up another bundle of fake flowers. Each rose flower can be pulled apart into 3-petal pieces - which fit nicely into the vase and give it some depth instead of individual petals just stacked on top of each other in the vase.


We has two cans of spray paint: one navy and one blueberry, which matches the periwinkle color of the dresses.


We alternated petal colors, to give the vase a variety, instead of a layered look.


I only have one completed centerpiece. All the vases have been bought and are being stored over at my grandma's house. I still need to find a floating candle to use. The one in the picture below is too small and it's white. I need an ivory colored one.

New Toy

Carter got a new toy....so we tried it out.



He would rather eat the toy! Slobber everywhere.

Hmmm......forget the toy. I'll just play with these. Free entertainment!
