Brian & Family {family photoshoot}

This last weekend, one of the partners at my firm asked me to take some family pictures since his family was in town.  I was happy to join him at his house, which is on 11 acres of amazing property.  I could spend hours and hours of photoshoots at his place if he would let me.....and he offered.  So I just might be going back there with future clients!

Weekend Recap

Well this weekend was action packed, that's for sure!  Yesterday was Eric's sister, Ashley's wedding. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding. I got some fantastic pictures and I can't wait to share them.  I will take some additional time editing since the bride and groom are off on their honeymoon for a week. 

Today, we spent most of the day in the yard.  We planted our garden and cleaned out the flower beds.  My arms and face are definitely pink from being outside all day yesterday and today.  I also had a family photoshoot today, and those pictures will be coming later this week.

Love is in the Air

These two love birds are getting married today.  We went through the rehearsal last night and it's going to be a beautiful ceremony at a fantastic venue.  I can't wait!  I'm working with another gal to do the pictures and I'm certain we will make magic happen today.

A Wise Man Once Said.....

The wise man I speak of?  Dane Cook.  I know, you're like "wait, he's a comedy guy, right?"  Yes, yes he is.  He makes me laugh until I pee.  And he's hot.  HOT.  But I also find him to be extremely smart and level-headed.  And hot.  Here is a quote I read from him today on Twitter.....

{Wedding} Anna-Marie & Josh

I shot this wedding two weekends ago, and it was honestly one of the most boring things I have ever done. Usually, the bride and groom are beaming from ear to ear, kissing, hugging, dancing, etc. This couple, for whatever reason, didn't touch. During the ceremony, before the were asked to hold hands, they were literally standing about 7 feet away from each other.  No joke.  I don't know if this was for religious purposes, or some other reason completely unknown to me.  And truly, it's none of my business - I'm there to do one job and that's capture their day.  However, having said that, getting them to let loose and take some fun pictures was completely out of the question.  They wouldn't get too close to each other and I certainly wasn't going to ask them to give me any kissing shots!  So I got what I got, which was the smallest amount of pictures I have ever taken at a wedding.  However, the bride was absolutely thrilled with what I gave her, so I guess the job is done and I can move on to the next one.....which is my sister-in-law's wedding this Saturday!!!  Below are some samples of what I did manage to get at this wedding.
