Jackpot Show - Spanish Fork Adventures

We adventured to Spanish Fork, Utah, this weekend to watch Addie compete in her first Jackpot Show. This was bigger than the local fairs she has been doing for a few years. She definitely had some nerves to work through, but she got it done and competed quite well! Super proud of her hard work!

We were also able to get out and explore a bit of Spanish Fork during the down time. We checked out the Red Ledges area, which was really cool! Carter was definitely more brave than the rest of us, and climbed to the top of one of the peaks.

 Kendall was quiet at the plate last night, but she sure made up for it in the circle. She faced four batters and struck out three of them. She brought the heat!

March Literary Adventures

March was definitely a big reading month! I stumbled upon a new-to-me author, Joe Hart, and obviously loved quite a few of his books. Or Else was a standalone novel that was quick-paced and thrilling. That prompted me to take a look into some of his other books. I found The Dominion Trilogy was was completely sucked in. This was such a great series and I devoured it in three days. Definitely recommend! The latest Joe Pickett novel by C.J. Box was actually quite underwhelming, which surprised me given how great the series has been. Maybe a fluke? Where the Forest Meets the Stars was a wonderful surprise of a book. Not my usual genre at all, but definitely a fulfilling story.
