Are You Ready for Some Football?

COVID has obviously messed with every sport out there. Carter was finally able to get his spring flag football season under way. He's been a solid QB thus far and is the biggest kid on the team. His growth spurt these last six months has been a big one!

May's Literary Adventures

You'd think with all this time off, life would be quiet and relaxing........WRONG!  May was a slow reading month for me. One book took me quite a bit of time, which was disappointing as I was expecting a fast-paced thriller that J.D. Barker typically provides. What Lies Between Us was such a strange read. I have been saving books by my "regular" authors, and it just might be time to dive into those.

April's Literary Adventures

April brought a whole bunch of excellent reads, including a couple really emotional stories by new-to-me authors. Last Summer was definitely an emotional journey, and I can't wait to read the next one by that author, which is coming out soon.  The Arrangement was definitely out of my usual genre, but definitely did not disappoint with several twists and turns. I plan to continue exploring these authors as I powered through each of their books at warp speed.

Happy 9th Birthday!

Birthday celebrations are a little different during these strange times. I think we still managed to make the most of it, despite no parties with friends, or bounce houses, or family gatherings. She did have a few family members swing by to wish her a happy birthday.

Happy 9th Birthday to my sassy girl!!

March's Literary Adventures

March was really an underwhelming reading month for me. I only finished three books, and they were all just so-so for me. This month has been absolute madness, despite all the self-isolating. Being involved in healthcare law 100% has really thrown my job into a tailspin throughout this COVID-19 pandemic. Between working from home virtually the entire month, and all of the home projects we are trying to finish up, there isn't much time left for reading....sadly. Hopefully April can be a little more calm?

Kendall yball

I would have to say that this debut season of basketball was a total hit for Kendall. She improved quite a bit, as did her entire team, and I saw a great amount of aggressive play by Kendall. I think she has the right temperament for this sport, and I hope she comes back for another season!
