Happy Haunting!

Well, this mama got another year of BOTH kids trick or treating and that's just 100% a victory!

Long Beach, Washington trip - day 4

Headed home bright-ish and early, and were immediately greeted with a stunning sunrise. We drove into Portland to see the Oregon Zoo. (no, it's NOT war-ravaged - looked completely normal to me. Turn off Fox News, folks.)  The zoo was incredible - large habitats for the animals, though we missed seeing the polar bear. Not sure where it was hiding - maybe it was still sleeping?

Long Beach, Washington trip - day 3

Day 3 was a great weather day, so we planned to explore outdoors the entire day. It was gorgeous! We drove down to Seaside and explore there for a few hours along the beach, the shops, and the aquarium. Then we drove further south to Cannon Beach to see Haystack Rock, which was a first for all of us. How beautiful! Keynan tried to get into the ocean at both places, and the park rangers were all over him - apparently the high tide and sneaker wave warnings were very much still in place. There were more shops in this little town, so we shopped those and walked the beach for miles. It was so gorgeous!
