The Happiest Place on Earth - A Grand Adventure pt. 3

Day 3 was back to Disneyland.  We had a couple of rides that we didn't get to on Day 1, so we tackled those, and then did some repeats because the lines were virtually non-existent first thing in the morning.  Gotta take advantage of that when it happens!  I think the kids were quickly tuckered out on this day, because we left the park early afternoon and they spent the remainder of the day in the pool.  It's a good thing this place came with a hot tub and pool - the kids definitely spent an overwhelming majority of their time in both! It sure was an epic family vacation! Mom and Dad - THANK YOU!!!

The Happiest Place on Earth - A Grand Adventure pt. 2

Day two was a California Adventure Day.  There are two rides here that are my absolute favorite - Cars (Radiator Springs Racers) and Grizzly River Run.  Unfortunately, Grizzly was closed for refurbishment.  The trick to Cars is to get into the park right as it opens and go straight back to this ride.  It has the longest wait lines, by far, in both parks.  Right as we walked up and got in line, there was an announcement that the ride was temporarily closed, but they were working on the issue.  We took a gamble, stayed in line, and the ride was back up and running without too much of a wait.  I loved being back in this area because Carter remembered big chunks of it from his first time at Disney, many years ago.  It was really neat to see it all come back to him.

We also happened upon a random parade, which was in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

We left the park in the middle of the day, knowing we would be coming back later that night for the World of Color show, which did NOT disappoint.
