Baseball & Softball Year-Round.....Oh My!

Baseball and softball have just taken a (collectively) huge step up in our family. It's always been an active part of our life, mostly during the spring/summer/fall months, but now it's going to be a year-round thing, and we are large and in charge!

The first big step was my joining the executive board at Meridian Youth Baseball & Softball (MYB). I decided to go big (in lieu of going home) and am now the President of Softball for MYB. I have two incredible directors on my team, and have already made a huge amount of progress in being the voice for softball. I am super excited to take on this role and be an advocate for the softball community within the league.

The second part of this step was affiliating myself with Play Deep Academy. Several coaches in the league put together this facility for the kids, and one of the other MYB Board members approached me to see if I would take on a softball instructor role. I jumped all over that and have basically been living at Play Deep for the last month. We are putting together workshops and clinics (baseball and softball), and already have several teams renting out the cages for their winter workouts. Score!

This joint venture into the baseball and softball world is something I'm incredibly passionate about, and I am so excited to see big changes in the league, especially on the softball side!

Turkey Day 2k18

This Thanksgiving was definitely a break from the norm. Part of our family was off for a month in Mexico, so the orphaned children had to scavenge the streets for scraps of food.

Dramatic enough? LOL!

Hi mom and dad!

All kidding aside, we really did have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We weren't totally unsupervised, as Veronica's dad (and his lady friend) joined us for the holiday. We had a crazy amount of food (and beer/mimosas), football, desserts, and other shenanigans. It was a great day!

Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year. My work had a huge potluck lunch, and a costume contest in which so many people participated. The party committee really went all out and the food was amazing.

I also helped out in Kendall's classroom for their party.

We decided on a Harry Potter theme, because......duh.  We had all three kids together and they tore apart a neighborhood in record time.
