There never really is a dull moment with kids, is there?
{rhetorical}
So last night, I was powering through a workout when Carter came in and said "hey, Kendall needs you upstairs." I told him, as I always do mid-workout, that I would deal with them when I'm done. He said "no really, she needs your help."
Oh.
Great.
So I head upstairs to the kids' bathroom, and this is what greets me:
She's crying, but that wasn't the first thing I noticed.
WHAT
is
that
in
your
HAIR????
"It's slime from the treasure box at school."
{THANKYOUVERYMUCHSCHOOL}
"Ok, but I don't understand why it's in your hair."
shrug
"Why did you put it in your hair?"
shrug
"What were you trying to do?"
shrug
"Seriously Kendall, why would you think putting slime in your hair is a good idea?"
shrug
shrug
ALLLLL the shrugs
Ultimately she told me she was trying to make headphones.
Out of slime.
In her hair.
Because THAT makes sense!
Cue a phone call to my mom, Kendall's father, and a couple of Google searches.
The winner: coconut oil
It was a tedious process, during which time Kendall says "mom, my legs are tired from standing." I paused and glared at her. Frankly my child, I don't really care about your legs right now because my fingers are cramping up from slowing combing out SLIME FROM YOUR HAIR.
Good thing I love her.
