The last week and a half has been an absolute whirlwind, to say the least. Life is just crazy busy right now, and the last call I needed was from the kids' school telling me they can't be out-of-district transfers anymore as the school has met capacity. So my options were extremely limited, and I made the decision to buy a house. Ahhh! I really didn't want to switch schools for the kiddos, so I made a concerted effort to find a house within the district boundaries....and succeeded! I was able to snag something in a great neighborhood and negotiate down the price. This is a huge accomplishment for me, and I'm feeling pretty dang good about it!

Another Season Coming to an End
Yesterday was a great game for Carter and his team. The weather held out until about 10 minutes after the game and party were over, and then the clouds opened up and the rain dumped. Next weekend is the last game, but we opted to have the team party this weekend since quite a few people will be gone for the holiday weekend. As of right now, the team record is 8-1-1 (because we play soccer, you know). It has been a great season for the team. I'm excited to continue on with practice with Carter over the summer/fall, and he's already committed to one baseball camp already. Fun times!!!

Hiking Around
I have some bridal shots coming up, so I have been scoping out some spots up in the foothills since that's where the bride wants to do her pictures. There have been several evening hikes, and an early morning hike, to get a feel for the best time of day to get this shoot accomplished. And I have to say, it's quite fun and certainly a break from our normal workout routine!

Whirlwind Weekend
Earlier last week, Veronica asked me what I was doing for the upcoming weekend, and wanted to know if I wanted to drive up for a surprise birthday party for Dana. I rearranged a couple things on my calendar and said HECK YEAH! So Matt and I left bright and early Saturday morning, made the gorgeous drive up to CDA for the party, and then zoomed back Sunday morning for Mother's Day stuff. It was a wonderful trip, though obviously WAY too short. And then Mother's Day was so awesome.....very thankful and grateful for such amazing people in my life.

Tents to Towers
The Idaho Historical Society contacted me to take some shots of the Zions Bank Building (ironically) as part of a special they are doing on Idaho law firms who, way back in the day, started out as the smallest of operations and have made their way up to "the big time". Their current feature happens to be my firm, so I was more than happy to get these pictures.
