I have had a ton of shoots lately, but none have really super noteworthy. Plus, life has just been too chaotic to blog about every shoot. I met up with Brandie and her little family last weekend to get some updated pictures. Leighton wasn't really having the camera, so most of her stuff is candid.

The Braces Adventure - 2 months post-op
Ok so I have been horrible about blogging lately. Things have been a little chaotic and I'm finally sitting back down at the computer to get caught up on so many things that have taken the back burner. One of which is an update on the braces thing. I am now about two months post-op. I have the wires on my top teeth, which went really well. They tightened the wires on the bottom, which hurt like hell. I even took a Norco an hour beforehand, which didn't TOUCH the pain at all. Thanks, drugs, I totally appreciate that.

Our 4th of July Celebration
We played it pretty low key this year for Independence Day. We took the kids to the parade in downtown Boise. The parade itself wasn't anything spectacular. In fact, there were several delays between sections that were rather annoying. But the big water fight at the end was definitely worth the wait.
Costa Vida - I miss you!!! We shall be reunited soon, I promise.
The SWAT vehicle was pretty sweet.
Of course I had to take a picture of this.
Let the water fight begin!
Carter even got some great shots in!
This is hard to explain since I didn't have time to grab a better photo - the first fire truck parked a block away and turned on the BIG hose. It sprayed clear down past the block we were on. Incredible!
Once we got home from the parade, it was a pretty quiet afternoon. We had dinner out on the patio and then planned out where we would watch one of the big shows. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money this year on our own fireworks. I wanted to go watch the ones at Hawks Stadium because I haven't seen those since I was a kid. Ultimately, we ended up in Meridian to watch the ones at the Speedway. We found a great open field right across from the Speedway, and made a little bed of blankets in the back of the truck. I let Carter do a few sparklers while were waiting for the races to get over. Last year, the show started 45 minutes late, so I was really pleased that they were right on time this year. The kids really enjoyed the big show!
